California Children’s Academy has been providing affordable childcare to low-income families for nearly 40 years. They operate two childcare centers for 1010 Development Corporation: an infant through preschool site at Hope Village (Pueblo de Esperanza), and a preschool-only site at JW Apartments (Centro de Milagros).
Head Start is a federal program that promotes school readiness for children from birth to age 5. Head Start focuses on providing services to the children of low-income families. The program enhances their cognitive, social and emotional development and has been proven to increase a child’s chances for success when he or she enters school. Casa Shalom has the Little Stars Head Start program, run by the Pacific Asian Consortium Employment.
PACE is a community development organization that creates economic solutions to meet the challenges of empowerment, education, housing, environment and business development in the Pacific Asian and other diverse communities.
