USC
PARTNERSHIP
1010 Development and the University of Southern California
Since 2014, 1010 development has hosted master-level social work (MSW) graduate interns from the University of Southern California (USC) Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work from the Social Change and Innovation Department. These MSW interns are macro practicing social workers, meaning their scope is to create change on a grand scale. This often refers to organizational, communal, or systemic level changes.
1010 recognizes the immense value a social worker brings to their work as a housing developer. This mutually beneficial relationship has launched former interns into higher positions once graduated from the program.
1010 has had the honor of having one of USC's esteemed professors on its Board of Directors. Vivian Villaverde's, MMSW knowledge and experience has been an essential component in guiding 1010 Development Corporation to where it is today.
